Vasil I. Kisil graduated from the International Law Faculty of National Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv in 1976.

1992-2007 – managing partner of Vasil Kisil & Partners, since 2007 – senior partner.

Mr. Kisil is an experienced professor at National Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv. He received the degree of Doctor of Laws in 2001.

Vasil I. Kisil is a member of Kyiv City Bar, a member of Public Council with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Head of a Supervising Board of Ukrainian Legal Foundation and a Member of National Commission for strengthening democracy and establishing of rule of law organized by the President of Ukraine. Mr. Kisil is a Member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague. He is recognized as one of the leading experts in Ukraine in the areas of Private International Law and Civil Law. The PLC Cross-border Mergers & Acquisitions Handbook 2006/07 recognized Mr. Kisil as a Highly Recommended Mergers & Acquisitions Practitioner in Ukraine. For the last years Mr. Kisil has been taking a lead in the rating list of the best lawyers of Ukraine according to "Law Firms of Ukraine" and has been acknowledged as a leading individual in investment issues by "Ukrainian Law Firms (a Handbook for Foreign Clients)".
